Welcome to the Portola Junior High School Math Club Website.

Portola Math Club offers math loving 6th, 7th and 8th grade students exploration of many facets of recreational and competitive problem solving. All students are welcome.

We meet each Friday in Room 126 (Ms. Watson's room) during the lunch periods. Students must bring lunch. We solve math problems while eating our lunch and sometimes snacks.

We hope to form competition teams to enter the major middle school competitions, like Mathcounts and the AMC 8. We also offer math and logic problems just for fun!

Parents, every week your student attends math club, he or she will receive worksheets filled with challenging and fun problems. We hope to find something appropriate and interesting for all students. Ask your student to show you our math club worksheets every week. Work with your students to solve the problems. If you want extra copies of problem sets  click here.  

We welcome parent involvement at every level. If you want to help, we can use extra coaches, snack donaters, help expanding the program and just about anything you can think of. We could also use help in developing this website. If you have something to offer, email the coach .
